libfontenc1 software package provides X11 font encoding library, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfontenc1
libfontenc1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfontenc1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfontenc1 *
You will get with libfontenc1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
